Congress cadres took out a rally here on Saturday urging Chief Minister N. Rangasamy to resign taking moral responsibility for “deteriorating law and order situation” in Puducherry.

Holding placards, the protestors urged the Chief Minister to resign immediately in the wake of remarks made by Lt. Governor Virendra Kataria. The cadres said that Mr. Rangasamy had failed to live up to the expectations of people.

Union Minister V. Narayanasamy, Member of Parliament P. Kannan, Opposition Leader V. Vaithilingam, and Puducherry PCC president A.V. Subramaniam participated.
