Rage over flow of sewage water into houses flows into the road

: People of 10th cross of Sundaram Nagar on Thursday organised a road roko on the Medical College Road here condemning the municipality for not taking action to prevent underground drainage water entering their houses due to leakage in the pipeline.

Traffic was affected for more than an hour on the road. People said drainage water entered their houses due to the leakage. They tried to prevent it by putting sand and gravel and appealed to the Municipality to rectify the defect.

Municipal authorities, though they had assured to do the needful had not done anything till Thursday.

Kalidas, Revenue Divisional Officer, and other officials rushed to the spot and held talks with the people. On the assurance given by them that the defect will be rectified, people dispersed.
