: The Madras High Court Bench here on Thursday reserved orders in two writ appeals filed by the State Government challenging an order passed by a single judge on November 3 in favour of PRP Exports and PRP Granites both under scanner in the multi-crore granite quarry scam in the district.

A Division Bench comprising Justice K.N. Basha and Justice P. Devadass reserved their verdict without mentioning a date after hearing elaborate arguments advanced by Additional Advocate General K. Chellapandian and the senior counsels appearing on behalf of the two private firms.

The single judge allowed the individual writ petitions filed by the two firms against sealing of their office premises, freezing of bank accounts, seizure of vehicles, and other curbs imposed on their granite business.
