Traditional ways of living would prevent diseases and prevention of diseases is the best way to manage health economy, said M. Thirumalai, Vice Chancellor, Tamil University, on Thursday.
After inaugurating the third international seminar on ‘health economics and management’ at Rajah Serfoji Government College, Mr. Thirumalai said that our traditional food habits are designed to keep us healthy and give immunity from diseases. Siddars have evolved Siddha form of medicine. Thirumoolar evolved a dandrika cult in which importance is given to nurturing the body. The Vice Chancellor released a journal on health management.
