Cadres of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi staged an agitation in front of the Collectorate here on Saturday in protest against long hours of power cut in Cuddalore district and the rest of the State.

They flayed the Union and the State governments for the power crisis in Tamil Nadu. The crisis had affected all sectors and day-to-day life of people. Therefore, the VCK demanded that the entire power generated by the Neyveli Lignite Corporation be given to Tamil Nadu.

The protestors demanded that the power generated from NLC should not be shared with any other State and the management should be handed over to the Tamil Nadu government.

Party leaders, including State deputy secretary M. Arivudainambi, district secretary S.Thirumaran and P.Thamaraiselvan participated.
