To commemorate International Literacy Day

  • Posters have to be multi-coloured and made on chart paper measuring 20x30 inches
  • The three best posters would win cash prizes of Rs.2000, 1000 and 500
  • The best poster will be printed and released

    CHENNAI: The State Resource Centre for Non-Formal, Adult and Continuing Education is holding a poster competition commemorating International Literacy Day, which falls on September 8.

    The theme for posters is `Promotion of Female Literacy'.

    Eligibility criteria

    All those interested in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, including the neo-literate, field functionaries in continuing education programmes, adolescents, students and members of self-help groups can participate.

    Design specifications

    Posters have to be multi-coloured and made on chart paper measuring 20x30 inches. Completed posters will have to be posted to the Director, State Resource Centre for Non-formal Education, 20, First Street, Venkatratnam Nagar Extension, Adyar, Chennai - 600020 on or before August 25, 2006. The three best posters would win cash prizes of Rs.2000, 1000 and 500.

    The best poster will be printed and released at the celebration of International Literacy Day.

    The State Resource Centre has proposed to observe the International Literacy Day annually with several activities to commemorate the occasion.
