An employee of the Department of Posts has been suspended for the missing of two bundles of English Paper –II answer scripts of the SSLC public examinations during transit on Monday.

Senior Superintendent of Post Offices (Puducherry division) S. Kandasamy told The Hindu that Soundararajan, designated as Gramin Dak Sevak, was attached to the Sathyamangalam post office near Ginjee (that comes under the jurisdiction of the Puducherry division). Mr. Soundararajan was carrying the bundles, booked under insured parcel, to despatch them by Railway Mail Service at Tindivanam. During his travel by bus he missed out two bundles containing 221 answer scripts.

Special police teams formed by Villupuram Superintendent of Police S. Manoharan have been making enquiries all along the route to trace the missing bundles. The police personnel have also been making announcements through public address system fitted on their jeeps appealing to the people to inform them if they come across any bundles of answer scripts. The message is also being flashed through the Cable TV operators.
