Tension prevailed in Palayamkottai for a while on Saturday as the portraits of Ambedkar and Emmanuel Sekaran in a public place were found damaged.

Police said the portraits of Ambedkar and Emmanuel Sekaran, kept in a public place at Kottur in Palayamkottai were found damaged on Saturday morning.

As tension prevailed, police rushed to the spot and started their investigation.
