International Cancer Centre (attached to C.S.I. diocese) at Neyyoor, celebrated Pongal festival and Founder's Day of Lion's Club on Thursday. According to R. Arul Kannan, president, Neyyoor-Monday Market Lion's Club, all the inmates of the hospital were given half-a-litre milk, two eggs, two bananas, two oranges and idlis.

It has also been decided to extend a helping hand to the poor and down-trodden, physically-handicapped, mentally-retarded and aged persons.

Awareness programmes

Awareness programmes on blood donation, organ donation would be organised for college and school students as well as for the members of self-help groups, said Mr. Arul Kannan.

It was an unforgettable day for the cancer patients and their family members.
