Special buses were operated from the bus stand to the examination centres
Dharmapuri: Over 27,000 students in Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts appeared for the plus two examinations, which commenced, from Monday. In Dharmapuri district about 13,897 students including 6,437 boys and 5,460 girls and 1,962 private candidates wrote the Language – I paper in 32 centres.
Collector P. Amudha accompanied by Chief Educational officer P. Raju and senior officials visited a few examination centres in the district. Education officials said that the district administration had provided tight security to all examination centres in the district.
As many as 50 flying squads comprising of 150 teachers visited a number of centres to prevent students from indulging in malpractices.
A district-level committee was also formed with the Collector as its chairperson. The Collector instructed the police not to permit organizations to take processions near the schools.
In Krishnagiri district about 13,975 candidates including 6,193 boys, 6,137 girls and 1,645 private candidates appeared for the exams in 25 centres. Special buses were operated from the bus stand to the examination centres. District Revenue Officer V. Mohanraj after visiting the centres said that elaborate arrangements were made to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.
