Chennai – Coimbatore Express arrives at Coimbatore at 1.40 p.m. and leaves for Chennai at 2.05 p.m. Coimbatore – Chennai Intercity Express leaves Coimbatore in the morning and from Chennai arrives at Coimbatore at 10.15 p.m.

Tickets issued to passengers travelling on the Coimbatore – Lokmanya Tilak Kurla Express also has the name of the train printed as Coimbatore Express.

To avoid confusion arising out of similar names of trains, Mr. Jayaraam suggested that the Coimbatore – Chennai – Coimbatore Intercity Express could be named as Siruvani Express.
