COIMBATORE: The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers’ Association has expressed concern at the Coimbatore Corporation’s proposal to hike Property Tax by nearly 150 per cent for industrial buildings. The association president C.R. Shanmugasundaram has said in a release that the industries were facing abnormal increase of raw material prices, production loss due to power shutdown and man power shortage. The increase in Property Tax would be an additional burden.
