CHENNAI: An appeal by an assistant director, who had claimed to have authored the script of Kamalhassan-starrer ‘Dasavatharam’, was dismissed by the Madras High Court on Wednesday.

The First Bench comprising Chief Justice A.P. Shah and Justice P. Jyothimani dismissed the appeal preferred by Senthilkumar of Tambaram, stating, “the appellant has failed to make out any prima facie case for grant of temporary injunction.

“The concept of a hero playing multiple roles is not new and it has been done in several Hindi and Tamil films.”
