Tiruchi District Consumer Movement urged the State government to take steps for the construction of an integrated bus stand in Tiruchi.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at its meeting held here recently.

Another resolution urged the Education Department to closely monitor the self-financing educational institutions and take stringent action against those which collected exorbitant fee.

The meeting demanded the Civil Supplies Department to ensure the supply of all essential commodities on all days in a week in the ration shops.

M. Theresnathan, president of the movement, presided over the programme.
