Petitioner moves High Court Bench

A petition has been filed in the Madras High Court Bench here seeking a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Madurai City, to register a land grabbing complaint against AIADMK MLA A.K. Bose and his son B. Sivasubramanian.

The petitioner, T. Nallusamy (75), claimed that four of his siblings and he owned a joint patta for 1.94 acres of land at Madakulam in Madurai. A civil suit over the land between him and the children of his siblings was pending in the district munsif court, he said.

According to the petitioner, the MLA’s son had fraudulently obtained power of attorney to the land from the children of his siblings in February 2010. Mr.Sivasubramanian also transferred 25 cents of the land in favour of his mother B. Backialakshmi in a fraudulent manner in March 2012, he alleged.

When the petitioner questioned the MLA and his son after coming to know about the transfer of power of attorney, they “abused him and threatened to kill him if he pursued the matter,” Mr.Nallusamy claimed in his petition.

However, he added that he submitted a complaint to the Commissioner of Police on November 11, 2013, who forwarded it to the Inspector of Police, Special Cell for Land Grabbing Cases in Madurai City.

The Inspector had summoned the petitioner for inquiries on November 15 and 18, 2013, but had not registered an FIR to date, he told the court.

Therefore, he moved the court seeking a direction to the Police Commissioner to instruct the Inspector to register a complaint against Mr.Bose and Mr.Sivasubramanian under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
