MADURAI: A public interest litigation petition has been filed in the Madras High Court Bench here seeking a direction to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board and other such boards to maintain complete transparency in their recruitment process.
The petitioner, a lawyer, said that candidates appearing for competitive examinations conducted by TNPSC and TNUSRB should be allowed to retain the question papers as well as carbon copies of their answer sheets as it was done in examinations conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board.
Releasing the answer key
He also said that the TNPSC, TNUSRB and others should be directed to release the answer key within two or three days after the examinations, keep the candidates informed of marks obtained by them and record the viva voce test on video in order to keep the recruitment process above suspicion.
After hearing arguments advanced by the petitioner, a Division Bench comprising Justices R.S. Ramanathan and T. Sivagnanam on Wednesday directed the counsel concerned to accept notice on behalf of the State government, TNPSC, TNSRB and others.
