Postgraduate students of Government Arts College staged a protest demanding that the Government scheme of providing free laptops should be extended to them too.

A section of the PG students came to the road in front of the college shouting slogans and carrying placards which read

“We too want laptops”. For nearly two hours they continued their protest.

They demanded that the free laptops being distributed to the undergraduate students of Government and Government-aided colleges should also be given to PG students.

The college had nearly 600 PG students in the first and second year studying in 16 disciplines.
