Call to transform dreams into realities through change in attitude
NAMAKKAL: The Paavai Group of Educational Institutions celebrated the `Mupperum Vizha' here recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Kannan Group of Companies, Coimbatore, T. Thanushkaran, said perseverance and hard work would result in achievement.
Dreams could be accomplished not just through careful planning, but also through sustained action that would call for change in habits and attitudes.
One should also have a strong desire to overcome hurdles. Winners would transform negative aspects into positive force to accomplish their goals, he said.
Earlier, the principals of the Paavai Group presented the annual reports. The convocation of the Paavai Polytechnic College was also held. The faculty members of the college were presented with gold coins, and special prizes were given to winners of a number of sports events.
The Electronics and Communication Engineering department bagged the overall championship trophy of the Paavai Engineering College.
The Group chairman, N.V. Natarajan, presided. Cultural programmes of the students marked the event.
At the Winners Day function of the Paavai Institutions organised recently, General Manager, Salem Steel Plant, M. Periyathambi, said students should be prepared to adapt to the changing realities of the present world.
In-depth knowledge on subjects, communication abilities and open-minded approach would help students to quickly adapt to the changing situations.
Achievers in academic and sports events in each department and the faculty members were honoured in the function. As many as 37 students of the Paavai Polytechnic College selected in the campus interview organised by the Shakthi Components were given appointment letters in the function.
The Group vice-chairman, T.R. Manisekaran, and the secretary, T.R. Palanivel, were present.
