Pensioners should submit life/non-remarriage certificate in the revised proforma to the banks from where they draw the pension.
According to a release, the certificates should be filed every year in November.
The certificates are available free of cost in the pension payee banks and also at the PRO centre of the Employees Provident Fund Organisation. Life certificates can also be downloaded from the EPFO websitewww.epfotn.nic.inorwww.epfindia.nic.in
Pensioners who do not submit the life certificate/non-remarriage certificate on time will not receive the pension from January 2013.
The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation will send SMS alert as a value added service to consumers who have registered their mobile numbers with the TANGEDCO. They will receive electricity consumption charges, due date for payment of the bills, etc. Consumers can register the mobile numbers at the respective offices, according to a release.
