Neyveli Lignite Corporation Senior Citizens' Welfare Association's Madurai unit organised a meeting at Madurai Productivity Council recently. T.K.Motilal, General Manager (retired), chaired the meeting in which more than hundred members participated.

M.V.Govindarajan delivered the welcome address and R.Balasubramanian, secretary, gave a detailed account of the problems faced by the NLC retired personnel and follow-up action. Even though the Employees' Pension Scheme was formulated in 1995, senior employees were yet to get any of those retirement benefits. A writ petition was filed in the High Court of Madras and was disposed of in favour of NLC retired employees but still no benefits were given, he said.
