SALEM: Project Concern International (PCI) has formed a Right Ranga Youth Club with the aim to create awareness among youth on HIV/AIDS.
According to a PCI release, the club, comprising 12 youths, was inaugurated at Omalur here recently. As a part of the Right Ranga campaign, the PCI would undertake activities such as street plays, exhibition, women/youth conventions and rallies to make people aware of HIV/AIDS, the release said.
Meanwhile, the Village Reconstruction and Development Project (VRDP), a non-governmental organisation, conducted a youth conference on HIV/AIDS at the YMCA hall here on Friday as a part of the campaign.
A release from VRDP said speakers in the conference stressed that youth should be aware of HIV/AIDS and the preventive measures.
