R.C. Paul Kanagaraj was elected president of the Madras High Court Advocates Association (MHAA), elections for which were held on Thursday.

S. Arivazhagan was elected secretary. There were 99 candidates. Four candidates, G. Mohanakrishnan, Paul Kanagaraj, M. Velmurugan and K. Muthuramalingam contested for the post of president. G. Rajagopalan, a senior advocate, was the chairman of the election committee. — Special Correspondent
