Passport Office, Coimbatore has announced a Passport Adalat between 10 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on Wednesday (December 5) at the Passport Office in Corporation Shopping Complex on Avanashi Road exclusively for the applicants from Namakkal district having grievances relating to their pending passport applications.

A release from S. Sasikumar, Passport Officer, said that all passport applicants from Namakkal district whose applications are pending with the Passport Office, Coimbatore up to September 30, 2012 due to various reasons are requested to immediately inform the Passport Officer in writing, the details, thereof, which should be addressed to Passport Officer, Passport Office, First Floor, Corporation Complex, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore 18 to reach the office on or before December 3, 2012.

The envelope should be superscribed as Passport Adalat in bold letters.

Those who had applied for passport up to September 30 and are yet to receive alone need to apply.

The applicants are requested to attend the adalat with all documents called for in the objection letters/call letters, if any issued by the Passport Office with original and copies or with representation regarding their pending application.

The following details should be clearly mentioned: passport application file number, date of application, name in full in block letters, father’s name, date of birth, present address and telephone number and brief summary of the grievance. Adalat will entertain queries from applicants only.

No enquiry or grievance from third parties on behalf of the applicants will be entertained. Already closed files will not be re-opened and they have to apply afresh with usual formalities.

Similar kind of adalats will be held for the benefit of residents of other districts under the jurisdiction of the office in the coming weeks after giving due publicity in advance.
