Actor fields questions with aplomb at Chennai Book Fair
CHENNAI: The Book Fair ended on Monday evening. The week-long event had an interesting sidelight.
Actor Parthepan attended the fair for a `Q and A session' with the crowds.
But before that he (on behalf of his organisation Manitha Neya Mandram) presented Rs.10,001 to poet A. Vennila for her contribution to Tamil Literature, Rs. 5001 to Democratic Women's Forum and Rs.10,000 for `Suyam' a social welfare organisation to be used for their educational projects.
Participants quizzed him on a range of issues from his films to personal life. "I was more than happy participating in the interaction," Parthepan said later.
"Going to Book Fair and speaking about cinema there was an enjoyable experience. I was not perturbed by any of the questions."
"In cinema, only when you get a good reaction from audience, one can perform better. Similarly, the questions were enough to bring the best answers from me. Later people said they enjoyed the interaction ... So did I," he added.
