MADURAI: Paramount Airways will operate its fourth flight service between Chennai and Madurai from February 26.
Talking to presspersons here on Wednesday, its Managing Director, M. Thiagarajan, said the additional flight service was introduced to cater to the growing requirements of international passengers.
Many of the passengers had to take the afternoon flights to Chennai to make their onward international journey from Chennai.
"With the introduction of the new service, passengers could save half a day," he said.
The flight would depart from Chennai at 4 p.m. and arrive Madurai at 4.55 p.m.
In the return direction, it will leave Madurai at 5.20 p.m. and reach Chennai 6.15 p.m.
Paramount Airways has received the prestigious Arch of Europe award for innovation and technology.
Mr. Thiagarajan received the award from Jose. E. Preito, President and Chief Executive Officer of Business Initiative Directions at Frankfurt on February 19.
The recognition is based on the criteria of the QC 100 quality model, implemented in over 100 countries.
Mr. Thiagarajan also announced two new frequent flier schemes.
