Kudankulam police have filed case against 12 persons for allegedly threatening the Vijayapathi panchayat president.

In her complaint, S. Ejithin (32), Vijayapathi panchayat president, said 12 persons from Idinthakarai, led by one Milton and Kebiston, came to a colony near Vijayapathi on Tuesday when she was distributing prizes to winners of a spots events. They threatened the residents stating that “they should not have invited a person who had been ostracized by the village administration after she refused to participate in the ongoing Anti-Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project struggle”.

Based on the petition, Kudankulam police have filed case against 12 persons.

Denying the allegations, Anti-KKNPP Struggle Committee said that its members never threatened the panchayat president.
