The cash collection in the ‘hundial’ of Sri Dhandayuthapaniswamy Temple here in the last 25 days during “Panguni Uthiram” festival was Rs.98.12 lakh, according HR & CE Joint Commissioner K. Rajamanickam.

The total collection included 720 grams of gold, 7,800 grams of silver and 885 numbers of foreign currencies in various denominations. Volunteers, including students, temple staff and bank employees, participated in the counting process, Mr. Rajamanickam said here on Tuesday.

The process was monitored by HR & CE Assistant Commissioner R. Menaka, temple cashier Raju and senior accountants Palanisamy and Murugesan.
