Flying squads inspect exam centres to prevent malpractice

Over 38,000 class XII students took the Plus Two examinations at 80 centres in the district on Friday.

As many as 17,542 boys, 18,697 girls from 235 schools and 1,772 students who have registered privately took the Language First Paper (Tamil/ Hindi/ French/ Urdu/ Telugu/ Malayalam) between 10 a.m. and 1.15 p.m.

A total of 25 flying squads with 120 teaching staff as members inspected examination centres across the district to prevent students indulging in malpractices.

Generators

Facilities like drinking water and generators were provided at the centres and use of sound horns or music systems near the centre was also banned by the district administration.

The examination centres have been declared as prohibited area and entry of people has been restricted during the exam timings.

Collector K. Maharabushanam along with officials from Education Department inspected Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Gugai.

Question papers were kept safely at 11 centres across the district and armed policemen provided security to the rooms.
