PERAMBALUR: The opportunities available for the engineering graduates for self-employment and the details of government schemes extending concessions were explained in detail at the two-day ‘entrepreneurship awareness workshop’ held at the Dr. Navalar Nedunchezhiyan College of Engineering, Tholudur recently. The Director , M. Kunchithapatham inaugurated the workshop.

The General Manager, District Industries Centre, Rajaganesh spoke on the means available for launching industrial projects and the support provided by the government.

Rajaraman from Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) explained the registration procedures for small scale industries in TNPCB.

S. Senthilkumar, Managing Director of the Pothigai Mineral Plant, provided information on the financial help that could be got through various agencies for establishing small enterprises in the rural areas. General Manager, BSNL, T. Rajendran and Divisional Engineer, BSNL, Marketing Division, Elangovan, dealt with the opportunities available in BSNL. K. S. Jayaraman, Managing Director, Auto Tech Industries, Chennai, also spoke. Chennai, T. Arumugham, an entrepreneur of Chennai, delivered the valedictory address.
