PUDUKOTTAI: The Judge of the Fast Track Court, Pudukottai, Udhayan, on Tuesday, ordered the attachment of a bus owned by the Kumbakonam region of the TNSTC, for having failed to pay compensation awarded by the court in an accident case.

The court, in its order in March this year, directed the TNSTC, Kumbakonam, to pay a compensation of Rs.1.20 lakh along with an interest from the date of filing the petition, to a villager, Ayyappan of Alankudi block.

The villager was injured in an accident in 1998 involving a bus owned by the Corporation while he was riding a bicycle. As the compensation was yet to be disbursed, Ayyappan preferred a petition with the court recently. The Judge ordered the attachment of a bus owned by the TNSTC be executed on November 17.
