The Madras High Court reserved on Wednesday its order on a writ petition filed by T.K.S.Elangovan, Organising Secretary of DMK, who sought to direct the authorities including Election Commission of India (ECI), to provide adequate protection and multi-tier security by deploying Central Reserve Police Force/ para military personnel to all entry points of Yercaud Assembly constituency where by-poll is scheduled to be held on December 4.

Mr.Elangovan also alleged that the ruling AIADMK by using the government machinery is still distributing the freebies to the voters in the constituency and there are also repeated reports of distribution of money by the ruling party. He also alleged that there are possibilities of commission of various malpractices by the ruling party at the time of polling and counting.

He also prayed the court to order video coverage of recording of whole process.

After hearing submissions of both sides, Justice K.K.Sasidharan adjourned the matter for pronouncing order on Thursday.
