: The district administration has opened online applications for credit-cum-subsidy facility from Hindu Adidravidars here.

According to a release from Tamil Nadu Adidravidar Housing Development Corporation 2012-12, the credit facility is open for the following Schemes: for Adidravidar women for buying of agricultural land and its development; entrepreneurial ventures and economic development; self employment schemes for youth; revolving fund for Adidravdiar women’s SHGs; Adidravidar women’s economic assistance; rural electrification; miscellaneous ventures.

Interested applications would have to be between 18 years and 55 years of age; for those seeking self-employment assistance shall be between 18 years and 35 years of age; the annual family income shall not exceed Rs.one lakh; the scheme for which loan is solicited shall be for asset creation; and loan sought shall be for a minimum amount of Rs.1.50 lakh. Further, ventures such as livestock breeding, setting up petty shops, grocery store, vegetable hawking, renting out mike sets, sound systems, chair for events, cottage initiatives – that do not guarantee assured returns, or asset generation, or generate social change shall not be entertained.

The Schemes entail 30 percent subsidy or Rs.2.25 lakh for certain ventures; Rs.25,000 as revolving fund for certain categories; and 50 percent subsidy or Rs.2.50 lakh as the case may be.

Applications may be downloaded from http://application.tahdco.com. Applications shall be accompanied by photograph, family card number, community and income certificate, electricity card, education proof as warranted.

The online facility was introduced to enable applicants to apply without hassles. Further, original documents shall be produced after receipt of call letter from TAHDCO.

Those who have already applied earlier are required to apply yet again online. The last date for receipt of applications is October 10, 2012, the release said.
