The ONGC gas trunk line between Kanjirangudi and Ramnad GCS that is underway is slated for completion this February. This would facilitate additional gas supply for prospective consumers, said S.P.Prabhakumar, Executive Director-Asset Manager, here during the Republic Day celebration of ONGC-Cauvery Asset at Neravy on Thursday.
Highlighting the achievements of ONGC-Cauvery Asset, Mr.Prabhakumar stated that the organisation had achieved the annual oil production target for the current fiscal ahead of its schedule and has proposed to meet gas production and sales target before schedule, a release said.
Additionally, Cauvery Asset has taken proactive measures to enhance gas production and sales from Ramnad. Gas availability to the tune of 6.0 MM3 from Ramnad has been conveyed to corporate marketing for firming up of consumers.
ONGC-Cauvery Asset has achieved an all time high revenue of Rs.1,462 crore during the last three quarters with the profit before tax amounting to Rs.907 crore.
According to the release, Rs.2.50 crore has been allocated towards CSR activities for the current financial year. ONGC has proposed to contribute Rs.4 lakh towards the Chief Ministers Relief Fund for the cyclone-affected in Puducherry. Best turn-out awards were awarded to security personnel, followed by cultural events by school children depicting themes of national integration.
