Future Prespectives: The focus of the department for the future will be tackling the high prevalence of non-communicable diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Heart Diseases and Cancer. A responsible public health infrastructure in order to address Environmental Sanitation, Water Safety and Vector Control needs to be revised in the short term future. Efforts will be made to strengthen the Food and Drugs Administration in the U.T of Puducherry.
