The sub-registrar of cooperative societies and two salesmen of a fair price shop in north Chennai have been suspended for irregularities in the supply of commodities.

Cooperation minister Sellur K. Raju conducted a surprise inspection at four fair price shops in Mint area in north Chennai. During the inspection, when people complained that they faced problems in receiving commodities, the minister, after enquiring with the officials, ordered their suspension.
