District Collector order to Vellore municipal authorities

VELLORE: Vellore Collector Dharmendra Prathap Yadav on Saturday directed municipal officials to clear encroachments that hindered the free flow of traffic in Long Bazaar, the movement of pedestrians in New Sitting Bazaar, Officers' Line and consumers in the Nethaji Vegetable Market. Accompanied by municipal commissioner G. Kandasamy, the Collector inspected the areas and interacted with the public. Mr.Yadav told officials to remove the garbage in the Nethaji market on a regular basis. He directed officials to remove the encroachments and to provide an alternative place for parking in Long Bazaar for two-wheelers. Mr.Yadav asked authorities to clear the drainage and encroachments on the pathways inside Nethaji market. He instructed officials to arrange to clean the toilets on Mundy Street, the old bus stand and Sarathi Mansions. Health officer T.S. Selvavinayagam, Vasudevan, engineer, and Sambasivam, tahsildar accompanied him.
