Monitoring Officer of the district and secretary of Department of Tiny, Small and Medium Industries K. Dhanavel reviewed the implementation of welfare programmes in the district at a meeting here on Tuesday. Addressing the review meeting, Mr. Dhanavel said the freebies being given should be distributed on time and any complaint from the beneficiaries must be given due attention. The petitions received during the Assured Maximum Service to Marginalized People in All villages (AMMA Scheme) special camps should be immediately scrutinized as it was immensely benefiting the aggrieved petitioners. All targets set by the State Government for the Department of Agriculture for Tirunelveli district should be achieved before the deadline. Officials attached to the Department of Highways should ensure the quality of roads.

Mr. Dhanavel gave similar instruction to the PWD officials.
