The members seek filling of all vacancies in sanctioned posts
MADURAI: Members of the Federation of Madurai Corporation All Officers' Association staged a demonstration here on Friday demanding to fill all the vacancies in sanctioned posts.
The demonstration was led by its president, T. Mohammed Rafi and secretary, K. Muniasamy.
The federation also demanded the Corporation to pay pensionary benefits to the tune of Rs. 6.5 crore to 434 persons, many of whom had retired several years back. The protestors also wanted the Corporation to remit over Rs. 15 crore deducted from the employees' salary towards provident fund, Life Insurance Corporation, income tax and society to the respective accounts.
The federation demanded that the Corporation employees be made Government servants.
