Showroom will remain open on holidays

Having registered a marked improvement in its performance ever since it got a new look last year and done particularly well during the festive season, the showroom of the Co-optex here is looking forward with confidence to make an impression among visitors during the ensuing summer tourist season.

It has also been commemorating occasions like the International Women's Day by setting in motion special sales.

Series

The latest in the series was the launch of a special offer by District Revenue Officer L. Nirmalraj on Saturday.

Expressing the hope that it will evoke a good response not only among the tourists but also the locals, he told The Hindu that under the scheme for every purchase of two items one will be given free.

In addition, a 20 per cent rebate will be given for purchases upto Rs. 1999, 25 per cent for purchases ranging between Rs. 2000 and Rs. 5000 and 30 per cent for purchases worth over Rs. 5000.

The Regional Manager, Co-optex, S. Singaram, said that the ‘buy two, get one free' offer will be open till April 2.

Stating that it was to commemorate the 78th year of inception of Co-optex, he said that the showroom will remain open even on holidays. The sales target for the outlet for 2011-2012 was Rs. 122 lakh. The achievement up to March 15, 2012 was Rs. 102 lakh.

Among those present were A.V. Mohamed Ismail, Manager, Administration, and P. Mani, Manager of the showroom.
