M.J.Nanjan, a well-known scientist hailing from the Badaga community of the Nilgiris, has been nominated by the Governor of Tamil Nadu as a member of the Syndicate of the Madras University for a period of three years. Dr.Nanjan, who is the Director, TIFAC Centre of Relevance and Excellence in Herbal Drugs, Post Graduate Studies and Research, JSS College of Pharmacy, has done his M.Sc and Ph.D in Madras University and published 94 research papers in international journals. His fields of interest include polymers and their applications, drug design and discovery.
