Nokia Healthcare Centre to become operational by mid-2008

CHENNAI: The 30-bed Nokia Healthcare Centre in the non-processing area of the Nokia Telecom SEZ Park would become operational by mid-2008.

Stone laid

The foundation stone for the 3,000 square meters centre was laid by Nokia’s president and CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo at Sriperumbudur on Wednesday.

Nokia currently employs 4,700 people, of whom 70 per cent are women.

The proposed centre will cater for healthcare requirements of Nokia employees in the SEZ as well as the local community in the region.
