NIT-T faculty bags Best Teacher Award

S. Anandan, Assistant Professor in Chemistry, National Institute of Technology - Tiruchi, has been selected by the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) for conferment of the Best Teacher Award for 2011. He will receive the award which is given in recognition of his research ability during the CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry to be held at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, on February 5, 2011.

Having established nanomaterials and Solar Energy Conversion Lab in the Chemistry department, Dr. Anandan has been engaged in research and teaching in environmental degradation of pollutants using solar energy. He pursues research in other frontier areas such as nanomaterials, sonochemistry, dye-sensitised solar cells, organic solar cells and electrochemical sensors, and has published more than 65 articles in reputed journals and four chapters in books on environment-related research.
