The Neyveli Township has got a modern swimming pool, built at a cost of Rs 4.33 crore. It will be maintained by the Neyveli Lignite City Swimming Club.

NLC Chairman-cum-Managing Director B.Surender Mohan inaugurated the swimming pool in the presence of NLC directors S.K. Acharya, Rakesh Kumar and M.S.Ravindranath, Chief Vigilance Officer Shivaraj Singh and president of Neyveli Ladies Club Swarnakumari Surender Mohan.

The swimming pool measuring 50 metre length, 25 metre wide and 2 metre deep, has non-turbulent lane ropes, underwater lighting and backstroke turn indicator. Two experienced divers have been posted to give coaching to members and students.
