The Commercial Taxes Department has introduced a new annexure to the VAT form for monthly returns.

The new annexure seeks information of invoice details of local sales and invoice-wise details of local purchases.

This will allow for cross verification, a release said.

All traders and industries have been requested to start mentioning TIN number of the buyer in the sales invoice, bill or cash memo for the sales made to registered dealers. Those who wish to claim Investment Tax Credit should insist on mentioning the TIN number in the invoice for purchases.

The filling of these annexure will be compulsory from July for returns due in August, the release said.
