CHENNAI: A personality contest for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) students was held at MOP Vaishnav College, Nungambakkam, on Wednesday as part of the free personality development programme.

The programme, ‘Vidhya Dhan,’ was organised by NCC Deputy Director General, NCC (Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobar) and Rotary Club of Madras Central Aadithya. Students from nearly 16 colleges in Chennai, Puducherry and Port Blair participated in the programme.

Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy was the chief guest for the ‘Mr. and Ms. NCC Chennai personality contest-2008’ .

The winners

Senior under officer Loka Priya and Flight cadet Rejith were declared Ms. NCC and Mr. NCC. Deputy Director-General, NCC (Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman and Nicobars) Commodore U.N. Chitnavis took part in the function.
