The Kunnathur police have secured four people from Karnataka for questioning in connection with the murder of S. Appusamy, who was reported missing from Ediyarpalayam near here a few days ago.

Police sources said Mysore police also had taken up a case in connection with murder of the advocate.

Appusamy reportedly went to Bangalore a few days ago for some official purposes but did not return home.

This prompted his relatives to lodge a complaint with the Kunnathur police. He was later found dead in Karnataka, police sources said.

Students arrested for stealing cash

The police arrested two college students who were caught red-handed while allegedly attempted to steal cash kept inside a grocery at Udumalpet on Monday evening.

Deputy Superintendent of Police S. Senthil said that the arrested were Sankar Narayanan, an undergraduate student of business management in a reputed college in Coimbatore, and Praveen Sundar, a first year B.Sc (computer science) in another Coimbatore college.
