The 10-day multi-media campaign organised by the Information and Public Relations Department in cooperation with various other departments came to an end on Sunday.

The Collector, S. Nagarajan gave away prizes to the best stalls-cum-exhibition set up by various departments.

The first prize was given to the Department of Fire and Rescue Services, second shared by Nagercoil Municipality and TWAD Board and the third price was given to the department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.

The Collector gave away the prizes to the winners who participated in various competitions.

Presiding over the valedictory function of the multi-media campaign, the Collector said that exhibition highlighting various special schemes, welfare measures, schemes pertaining to school and college-going students to pursue their higher education, financial assistance, schemes to the members of self-help groups were displayed in the exhibition for the benefit of people to know about the schemes launched by the Government.

The first prize for the healthy baby was given to Anjana Sree of Pattakasalianvilai, second to Ariya of Gandhi Nagar and third prize was given to Sree Ram of Natarajapuram.

The first prize was given to Mary Charlet, an anganwadi employee in the competition held among them in connection with preparing Sathana Unavu (healthy food).

The second and third prize was given to Gomathi and Nagarajam respectively.

The chairperson of Nagercoil municipal council, Meena Dev, District Revenue Officer Palanisamy, Superintendent of Police (training) Thiruloganathan, Assistant Divisional Fire Officer Saravana Babu, project officer, District Rural Development Agency Manthirachalam, Hari Ram, Public Relation officer attended the meeting.
