BEC qualified faculty members to conduct classes

COIMBATORE: The Pricol Academy of Excellence (PAcE) and the Sankara Institute of Management Science (SIMS) entered into a memorandum of understanding here on Wednesday.

According to a release, the MoU that was signed by Lt. Col. S. Purushothaman (Retd.), Director, PAcE, and T.P. Ramachandran, Secretary of the institute, would strengthen the language skills of management students. It would aim at building the four blocks of language – improve learners’ proficiency of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English.

The MBA students of SIMS will undergo the Business English Communication programme conducted by PAcE to prepare themselves for the Business English Communication (BEC) test of the British Council and the BEC certificate of the University of Cambridge. PAcE is an authorised institution for the BEC certificate training programme.

The programme has envisaged training the students for about 40 to 60 hours on weekends, over a four-month period. The classes will be conducted at SIMS and PAcE by the BEC qualified faculty members of PAcE and expert resource persons.
