M. Ramadoss, Director, Studies, Educational Innovation & Rural Reconstruction, Pondicherry University, said that micro-level planning aimed at rural people was among the best ways to alleviate poverty, so as to work towards inclusive growth. Speaking at a workshop organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with United Nations Development Project (UNDP), on Friday, he said though the country had been growing at good pace, rural India was yet get the real impact of development. He said there was a need for concerted efforts to take the marginalised on the development path. Micro-level plans should focus on rural areas, he said.
