A total of 1,078 people were screened during a mega cardiology camp held in Mettur recently. The camp was organised as part of World Cardiology Day observation by The Madras Aluminium Company Limited (MALCO) in association with Fortis Malar Hospital, Chennai. Blood test and ECG were done free of cost. Medicines were also given for free. The camp was inaugurated by Aneesh Sekhar, Sub-Collector, Mettur. He stressed on the importance of lifestyle modifications to prevent cardiac diseases.

C. Murugeswaran, Whole Time Director and Head Operations, Malco, explained the importance of the cardiology camp and also the various CSR activities done by the company.
